HARDWARE: THIRD-PARTY

Myarc Geneve Model 9640 Family Computer - a successor to the TI-99/4A produced by Myarc (now a division of Cecure Electronics, Inc.). The computer consists of a card for the Peripheral Expansion Box which replaces the interface card used to connect to a 99/4A console. Running at 2 to 3 times the speed of the original 99/4A with a 12 MHz TI 9995 CPU, this "computer on a card" comes with 512K of CPU RAM, 128K of video RAM (expandable to 192K), 40/80 column display, a battery-backed clock chip, joystick and mouse ports, and an IBM PC/XT keyboard. - PFM+ Flashdisk - consists of a 128K flash eprom chip that replaces the boot eprom that comes with the Geneve. Designed to contain MDOS (the Geneve operating system) that will load automatically after booting up. Produced by Cecure Electronics, Inc.
Rave 99 cards - from the Rave division of Cecure Electronics, Inc.
- Speech Synthesizer Adapter Card - allows you to move the circuit board from the external Speech Synthesizer into the Peripheral Expansion Box. The only way for Myarc 9640 / Geneve users to add speech synthesis capabilities!
- MX01 Memory Enhancement System - allows memory expansion up to 544K bytes of "backed up" memory (backup lasts years with optional lithium battery, about 5 days without). Compatible with all software originally programmed to run with the TI 32K memory expansion card. Up to four memory cards can be installed for over 2 MB of "backed up" memory.
- 99XT PC Keyboard Interface - installs in the 99/4A console in place of the standard keyboard. Allows use of any IBM PC/XT compatible keyboard with the TI-99/4A. Supports all 83 standard PC/XT key codes.
SuperAMS - an expanded memory system for the TI 99/4A. Upgrades RAM from 128k to 1024K. From SW99ers User Group in Tuscon, Arizona
SCSI Controller Card - allows installation of any standard SCSI drive in the Peripheral Expansion Box. From Western Horizon Technologies
